Michigan Secure Ecommerce Websites PDF Print E-mail

One of the biggest areas of concern, especially in the USA, and more specifically in Michigan, is online security.  Michigan secure ecommerce is searched over 3000 times monthly just on Google alone. People need to feel secure and trust the website BEFORE they will buy.

Luckily there are a number of things that you can do to your website today to help increase visitor trust, I've put together a short checklist of sorts here

Identity theft is an online reality, and not only should people take care when buying anything online, but as a business owner you want to make sure that any online transaction that takes place on your company website is secure.

By using enhanced security, and solid site design and development practices, Ten Day Design ensures that both your customers and you are safe and secure online.

Here are a few tips to check for online security:

  1. Make sure that when any personal information is transferred, such as addresses or especially credit card information that the URL starts with https:// instead of the standard http://
  2. If you want to make sure that your browser is in it's secure mode look for a small lock icon on the bottom left hand corner of your browser window.
  3. Look for the Hacker Safe logo. Any site that is certified by Hackersafe.com is checked daily for security threats.
  4. Easiest way to ensure that both you and your clients are protected is to use trusted third-party websites to process your online payments such as Paypal.com (owned by Ebay.com) or 2checkout.com (which has some very robust options)
